Liner notes:

In reminiscing about the “evolution of Ferrante and Teicher,” I can remember when they utilized pianos solely as a purveyor of sound, which nevertheless did not detract from their concept of making two pianos one.

As they have mellowed over the passage of years their sound continues to be more mellifluous and probes more deeply into the meaning of a song. I was entranced with their artistry more than half a generation ago and it’s obvious this quality was infectious enough to capture the imagination of people in all countries of the world.

And in this, their latest offering, you are aware of how current their talents really are. You become beguiled once again by their prodigious ability, which is almost clairvoyant, to portray a melody in all its nakedness, so you are close to the nuances, emotions and feelings of the composer.

You thrill to the sweep of twenty fingers prying for expression as hey modernize “Old Devil Moon” or “Brahms Lullaby.” Perhaps above all the romance inherent in the loveliness of “Spanish Eyes,” one of the fine standards of this decade, is something only you can relish in complete contemplation and rapture.

The repertoire runs the gamut of the old, but always new… due to their unique approach, and the new, that will become old, because of the timelessness of the melodic themes such as “Talk to the Animals,” “To Sir With Love,” “Illya Darling” and particularly the title song “Live for Life.”

With the creative arranging of Ferrante & Teicher and skillful conducting of Nick Perito, “Life for Life” emerges as one of important new offerings for Hi-Fi devotees for the coming year… and some of the best Ferrante and Teicher ever!!!!

In conclusion, you may be tempted to shout, as I, Bravo!!!!
